I never make the same mistake twice.

Visiting Grandma and Grandpa

We're having fun at Grandma's and Grandpa's house in St. George.  This is a picture we took at the church historic site Jacob Hamblin's house just outside of St. George.  We also went to the dinosaur museum too.

Dinosaurs

We went to the Geology Museum yesterday on campus.  It's been closed for over a year being remodeled.  Zo is glad it's open again.

Oh My!

What do you do when your really want to make cinnamon rolls but have no chocolate chips?!  Michael suggested we make them with raisins, but for me, the only way to really make cinnamon rolls is with ooey gooey chocolate chips in the center.  I was about to abandon the idea completely when Michael suggested we just use a chocolate frosting.  Brilliant!
I had cocoa powder and could make chocolate frosting.  Or did I?  After baking the rolls and then digging around in my cupboard to find cocoa powder I found I only had about a tablespoon left.  I also discovered half a bag of chocolate chips.  I was kind of frustrated that I hadn't discovered that in the first place, but then I decided to just make a frosting using the chocolate chips.  OH MY!!  So good.  Everything I love about Mom's cinnamon rolls and more of it.

Artist in Training

I was watching Joseph draw some animals the other day and was amazed. He was looking at what he wanted to draw and then drawing it. Usually 5 year olds draw what they think a duck looks like, not actually look at a duck and draw it line by line. He spent about an hour sketching some paper animals he made. Anyway had to brag...
